FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mission at Stafford County Regional Airport
25 February 2006 -- Members of the Prince William Squadron
and other Group III units responded to assist in the search for a missing
aircraft at the Stafford County Regional Airport on 23 Feb 2006.
Air crews from the Prince William and Winchester Composite Squadrons deployed to
their bases to begin an air search as soon as the weather cleared. Ground Search
Teams were sent immediately to the Stafford County Regional Airport to assist
the Fredericksburg Composite Squadron with traffic control around the airport
operations building.
The aircraft was located by the Sheriff's Office shortly after 9 AM.
