Civil Air Patrol regularly trains to support disaster relief missions.  CAP integrates with any level of government when requested to support missions through direct or indirect means.  CAP members did house to house search in the days after Katrina.  Members from Virginia Wing deployed to the area flying support missions delivering critical supplies.  Locally, CAP has provided responses to flooding in Madison County in the mid 90's providing manpower to help with operations and communications equipment and backup power generation to support the mission base.
