Seniors FlyingThe senior program of Newport News Composite Squadron began in earnest in the Fall of 1999 with the tragic death of a young local aviator.  Inspired by the commitment of CAP squadrons which responded to this emergency, pilots of  Newport News and the surrounding aviation community approached the Newport News Composite Squadron about membership and formed the senior program.  Today the senior program of the NNCS is composed of more than a dozen pilots and aviation enthusiasts over the age of 17 who are dedicated to using their aviation interests and abilities to serve the community. Senior members of the squadron are engaged in air and ground search and rescue and other disaster relief work.  Senior membership is open to non-pilots as well as pilots.
