Joint NC-VA Winter Encampment

Student applications will open by the end of this month (October).

Senior member staff and cadet cadre applications are now open! 

Attention Cadet Cadre and Senior Member Staff Applicants:

Please take note of the following dates and thank you for your attention to our shortened timeline to ensure a successful activity! 

11:59 PM EST 19 October - Executive Cadet Cadre applications due (Cadet Encampment Commander, Cadet Deputy Commander - Support, Cadet Deputy Commander - Operations). 

11:59 PM EST 23 October - All other cadet cadre applications due 

11:59 PM EST 1 November - Senior member applications due 

In addition to attending encampment itself, it is expected that you will be able to attend these key activities:

26 October - (Cadets, and seniors able to help with scoring) - Cadre Selection Exercise at Raptor Town, Joint Base Langley-Eustis

29 Nov - 1 December - (ALL) - Required Staff Training Weekend at Raptor Town, Joint Base Langley-Eustis 

28 December - (ALL) - Staff Arrival for the Encampment 

Cadets, before you apply, please make note of these requirements:

  • Must have successfully completed a minimum of one (1) encampment

  • Minimum grade of C/SSgt. If you do not currently hold the grade of C/SSgt you may still apply, however, you will be required to obtain this grade prior to the required staff training weekend on 29 Nov - 1 Dec. 

  • Familiarity with CAPP 60-70 Cadet Encampment Guide, CAPP 60-33 CAP Drill and Ceremonies, and CAPR 60-1 Cadet Program Management 

  • Have successfully completed ICUT (must have by required staff training weekend) 

  • Have successfully completed the basic AND intermediate risk management courses (must have by required staff training weekend) (these are located in AXIS - click AXIS at the top of LMS page in e-Services)

All cadet cadre will serve as part of the team in their assigned roles to ensure the encampment meets the goals outlined in CAPP 60-70. Cadet cadre will perform in their assigned role to the best of their ability. All cadet cadre will lead students through the course of encampment, ensuring the mission and vision are met.
