The Cadet
Oath "I pledge that I will serve faithfully in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program and that I will attend meetings regularly, participate actively in unit activities, obey my officers, wear my uniform properly, and advance my education and training rapidly to be of service to my community, state, and nation." The CAP Cadet Program gives you the chance to develop leadership and technical skills, and learn about aviation and space. Parents credit the Cadet Program with communicating to their children the importance of personal integrity, self discipline and respect in their personal and professional lives. Cadets progress through a multi-step program with exciting aviation and aerospace activities held at local, regional and national levels. A prospective cadet must be at least 12 and no older than 18 years old. Any cadet may remain in the program until age 21. Local activities include:
