The Civil Air Patrol is the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Our missions include emergency services (including airborne search & rescue), aerospace education, and a cadet program that provides discipline, citizenship, leadership and an introduction to military customs and courtesies to young people ages twelve through twenty. We have also acquired additional responsibilities in the area of homeland security.
Group III covers Northern Virginia, and consists of eight squadrons.
