Training, Validation, and Mission Support Documents

Pilot Training and Certification

  • The FAA Safety Team (FAAST) page for courses and certifications in the voluntary Wings Pilot Proficiency Program that lead to credit for a Bi-annual Flight Review (BFR) and increase the awareness of proper procedure and safety culture. The CAP F5 checkride is recognized as one of the flight elements that lead to certification in the Basic level of recognition. A F91 or F5 Commercial/Instrument checkride are two flying elements that leads to an Advanced level of recognition.

Participation and recognition in the FAA Wings program is not a CAP requirement, but is highly encouraged for a number of reasons. The courses are top quality and address training where there are currently a statistically high number of incidents in the real world. The courses are updated regularly and adjust to trends in aviation that need emphasis to reduce incidents by voluntary continuing education and then those participants applying lessons learned.

Scheduled Training Events:

  • 8-Aug-09 @ 0800L, G2 SAREX at Wing Headquarters (FCI).
  • 12-Sep-09 @ 0800L, G2 SAREX at Chesapeake Airport (CPK).
