Mission Scanners

All aircrew members must first be qualified as mission scanners. Mission scanner requirements and training objectives are listed in capf101t_ms.

 

Mission Observer requirements and training objectives are listed in capf101t_mo

 

SAR/DR Mission pilot requirements and training objectives are listed in capf101t_mp.  Note that the card specifies 175 hours flight time. The regulations have raised this requirement to 200 hours.

 

Transport Mission Pilots have no training card. Requirements are:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Current and qualified CAP pilot in accordance with CAPR 60-1, with at least 100 hours PIC time, including at least 50 hours of cross-country flying
