The goal of the competition is to increase cadet training in leadership, aerospace education, physical fitness, and teamwork, as well as to build a sense of belonging to a larger organization. Events included in-ranks inspection and various forms of military drill, but cadets were also challenged with written exams and panel quizzes on aerospace knowledge and CAP history, and physical training contests of running and volleyball. |

CAP Professional Development Conferences |
Annual CAP conferences are held at the Wing, Region, and National levels. The CAC and DCP attempt to provide a rigorous cadet agenda at the Wing and Region conferences for cadets to participate in. These include seminars, competitions, awards presentations, CAC meetings/elections, and an opportunity to interact with cadets from different locations. |

Summer Encampment |
CAP encampments are an important part of the cadet program. Cadets continue to learn about the cadet program, the role of aerospace today, and further develop their leadership skills. Cadets will participate in physical activities such as the obstacle course and physical fitness training. Encampment will challenge each cadet’s physical and mental abilities, but not beyond what a normal cadet can endure without due strain. Cadets will rise early and have a very full day of training. Encampments are one of the best leadership developing events CAP offers. |
